Senior dog care
Gentle care for older dogs
Older dogs often need a slower pace, more toilet breaks and a calm home to rest in. Our senior dog care is a special rate for older dogs with additional medical needs, or who are no longer reliably house trained. We look after them with the care and love of a family home.

Extra toilet breaks
Regular trips to our secure garden through the day, and pads indoors for when they’re needed.
Belly bands and nappies
If your dog uses a belly band or nappy, please bring your own and we’ll make sure they’re comfortable in it.
Washable bedding
Easy-clean beds and covers, so your dog can settle somewhere soft and fresh.
Walks at their pace
Our walks in Sherrardspark and Mardley Woods can be shortened and slowed for older legs.
A home, not a kennel
Your dog spends their day as part of the family, with a sofa to curl up on and a log burner in winter.
An individual care plan
Tell us about your dog’s routine, medication and mobility, and we’ll care for them the way you would.

About our home
We want to be upfront about our property. Our home has steps, and we don’t have carpet: our floors are hard (Karndean). Every dog is different, so when we meet, you can see the space for yourself and decide whether it suits your dog.
Before the first visit
Every dog starts with a trial visit, so we can see how they get on in our home. After that, I’ll talk it through with you and we’ll decide together whether we’re the right fit. For longer stays, we’ll also arrange an overnight trial first.
Prices and booking
Senior dog care is a special rate for older dogs with additional medical needs, or who are no longer reliably house trained: £50 per day for day care and £60 per night for home boarding.
A healthy, house-trained senior dog pays our standard rates.
Over the Christmas holidays, senior boarding stays at £60 a night and day care is £50 a day, rising to £100 on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Day care hours are 07:45–18:00 Monday to Friday and 09:30–18:00 at weekends.
